The 2007 Cayuga white is an excellent example of what the widely planted New York hybrid is capable of. With 2.5% residual sugar the apple and mango flavors fill the palate with a sweet fruit and soft texture of a sun ripened Asian pear. Often referred to as the “poor man’s Riesling” one can beg to differ that it is pretty close to the real McCoy at Hosmer.
